But when you see what happens in the lives of the children and the life of our church it makes it all worthwhile. This year’s theme is “Shipwrecked,” and each day will focus on how Jesus rescues…

On Friday, April 27th, Wightman UMC held a night of worship where the community gathered together for the sole purpose of praising our great and wonderful God. We were so blessed to have three bands lead us all in worship (One life band; Newberry Young Life band and the Wightman UMC Praise Band). In addition to the music, dessert was also provided. Our Bible journaling has been a great success. Around 120 people at Wightman began the challenge to read through the gospel of John during the season of Lent. I have enjoyed the feedback of people who are reading an entire book of the Bible for the first time, of couples who are talking about Scripture at the breakfast table, of small groups that started and are going to continue to meet after finishing the gospel of John. At the beginning…
Our Youth Building has been a place of service and outreach to our community for many years. We recently repaired the roof and now are ready to begin renovation of the interior. Many items are needed to create a welcoming environment for young people. Please consider making a generous gift to make this project possible.
