If you have looked at Wightman’s walking track you have seen a very tiny house. The house represents Tiana’s house, an orphanage in El Salvador that Wightman has been working with for the past three years. Recently, we learned the orphanage could be completed by Christmas, but $15,000 is needed to complete the job. An anonymous donor has offered to match dollar for dollar any funds raised for the house up to $7,500. Wightman’s Administrative Council accepted the challenge to raise $7,500 dollars. With the match from the donor, the children in El Salvador will be able to spend Christmas in a new home. The tiny house on the walking track represents our progress towards that goal. Every time $250 comes in for the house, we will add a board to the side of the house. When 30 boards are added, we know we will have enough to finish Tiana’s house.
