Music Ministry Leader: Carol Smith Adult Chancel Choir: The choir provides worship music for the 9:00 a.m. worship service. The choir has a Christmas cantata each year. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. The choir does not practice during the month of July.
Handbell Choir: This is a group of musicians with varying degrees of music reading abilities. From non music reader to the advanced music reader, we welcome and encourage anyone interested in learning the art of bell ringing to become a part of this choir. The only prerequisite is a desire to serve the Lord through music. The handbell choir routinely provides music for Sunday morning worship services. Rehearsal time is on Wednesday from 5:30 - 6:25 PM.
Men's Quartet: Revelation Four, our men's quartet, performs on occasion during the worship service, at neighboring churches, and for other community organizations. Call Eddie Rivers at (803)364-3671 to schedule an appearance.
Children's Choir: This ministry gives children at Wightman the opportunity to develop musical skils while preparing music for the Sunday morning worship service. They learn to become worship leaders through choir rehearsals, singing in worship services, and participating in a Christmas musical. In addition to singing, the preschool choir also utilizes a portion of their rehearsal time playing color coded bells. Rehearsal times for the choirs are as follows:
Elementary choir: Sunday 10:25 - 11:00 AM
Preschool choir: Sunday 11:00 - 11:30 AM
