While I was on vacation in Missouri I attended a church that was in the process of taking their welcome of new guests to a new level. They realized that while they had good children’s and youth ministry, great programming, inspiring worship services and good preaching, there was still something needed to retain the guests who visited their church for the first time. JOY group traveled to Charlotte, NC for their April meeting. They visited the Billy Graham Library and experienced a Journey of Faith tour that highlighted many of the milestones in the life of Billy and Ruth Graham. Great way to begin Holy Week!!
Seniors began a small group fitness program with instructor Paulette Halfacre. They will continue to meet each Wednesday at 11:00 am in the CLC. Those wanting to walk, come at 10:30 prior to the class to walk at your own speed.

These ladies created lovely cross painting with Marguerite Palmer at the Newberry Art Center. Fun was also enjoyed by all.
Linda Hiller shared her mission story in music and narration with the JOY group during their March meeting. This was a most inspirational tribute to her God as she shared ways he had brought her comfort, peace, and protection. Lunch was enjoyed by all.
Theresa Halfacre shared home healthcare information at the March meeting of the United Methodist Women. She works for the MSA Home Health Services in Newberry County.
All Seniors are invited to the monthly JOY Group meeting on Monday, March 11. Linda Hiller will present her mission program with music and narration at 11:00 am. Then a Potluck Lunch will be a Noon. Bring a dish of your choice and enjoy a time of fellowship .
The Healing Hearts (Widows) Group enjoyed having lunch at the Gallery Tea Room in Newberry, SC, on Friday, March 1, 2019. Five ladies from the community who are also struggling with the loss of a spouse joined them. This group enjoys the fellowship of each other and the chance to share their experiences.
